RENEWAL:
- Book, audio cassette or compact disc, 7 day DVD and 7
day VHS may be renewed if it has not been renewed previously and there are
no holds/ reserves for the item.
- No renewal for 3 day video materials, 3 day DVD
materials, magazines, interlibrary loan, CD Rom.
GRACE PERIOD:
- For an eligible item returned within 3 days of the
date due, no fine will be charged.
- Following the grace period the FULL fine is due (i.e.
on the fourth day, 40 cents for 10 cent fine items).
- There is NO grace period for 3 day items nor for
interlibrary loaned items.
FINES:
- Books, 3 week audio materials, 7 day video
materials: ten cents per day to a maximum of $5.00.
- 3 day materials: 50 cents per day to a maximum
of $5.00
- Interlibrary loan items is set by ILS:
50 cents per day to a
maximum fine of $30.00
- VHS rewind: $1 for each videocassette which is
not rewound before returning the item.
TRANSFER:
- Material owned by Greenfield Library may not be
transferred from one library card to another library card.
- Materials owned by another library may not be
transferred from one library card to another library card.
LOST CARD:
Fee of $1.00 to replace a lost or stolen card.
REFUNDS:
- Refund for a lost and paid item will be made up to one
year from the date on which the item was due.
- The amount of the refund will be the cost of the item
less the overdue charge from the date due until the date paid.
- There is no refund of the service charge.
- There is no refund for magazines.
LOST OR DAMAGED MATERIALS:
The borrower may elect to pay the replacement costs or
to replace the lost or damaged item with the exact item which is in new or like
new condition. The following criteria will be used to determine if the proposed
replacement matches the lost or damaged item
- Title
- ISBN and/or UPC
- Number of pages or number of units and playing time
- Copyright date and/ or edition
- Publisher
The replacement fee for magazines will be $5.00 per item
with no processing/ handling fee.
