Learn about the basics of baking sourdough bread from local experts from The Bread Pedalers! Maintaining and baking with your own sourdough starter (or culture) can be a very rewarding hobby! Registration is not required.

This character driven book explores the intersection of grief, sobriety, and identity in a really interesting and innovative way. We follow the protagonist, Cyrus, as he becomes obsessed with the idea of martyrs which leads him down a rabbit hole of digging through his family's history. Kaveh Akbar balances the tonal shifts of being both funny and sad at the same time really well, and I think this is the perfect book for anyone wanting to gain new perspective on finding meaning through the eyes of an Iranian man living in America.

As a reminder, the library is open on Sundays from Labor Day through Memorial Day.
