The workplace has gone through fundamental changes over the past decade and continues to evolve post-pandemic. One thing remains constant, looking for a job can be a job in and of itself. Annette DiZinno from The Goodwill Workforce Connection Center will be onsite to help you learn and navigate this process. This program (with both an afternoon and evening session each month) is for any job seeker. Annette will share strategies and tips that have been gleaned over the years from working with employers and recruiters. Come with your questions and concerns and she will do her best to offer direction and practical advice as you move forward on your job search journey.

Librarians will be selecting a different title each month and purchasing lots of copies. They will be on display in the lobby. Stop at the library each month to see what we have picked out for you - and best of all, say goodbye to the wait lists! Book of the Month titles are 2 week check outs, non-holdable and non-renewable.

Do you consider yourself a soda expert? If so, this is a program you won’t want to miss! The teen who can identify the most sodas correctly in a blind taste test will be crowned the soda champion and will take home all of the leftover soda. Registration required. Register online here.

Who better to talk about the life and history of Abraham Lincoln than…Abraham Lincoln! Lincoln impersonator Kevin Wood (he looks just like him!) has toured the Midwest talking about Lincoln’s legacy and will be at GPL to discuss the times and exceptional story of one of our greatest presidents. This unique talk, intended for both children and adults, will be a fun way to learn about US history. Don’t forget to bring a camera and snap a picture with Old Abe! All ages welcome!
